Berthe Morisot: Impressionist

The first major retrospective of the work of one of the founders of Impressionism, Berthe Morisot: Impressionist was organized by the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum in association with the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.  This catalogue reproduces all 104 works included in the exhibition, her finest paintings and drawings from American and European public and private collections.  Charles Stuckey’s essay presents a comprehensive critical biography, and William Scott provides a fascinating examination of the artist’s working methods, techniques, and palette.
