PARKING

Free campus parking is available, but parking closest to the Museum may be limited due to construction through late October 2025.

Check this page regularly for the most up-to-date information about on-campus directions and parking information.

Parking along Lower Lake Road is currently unavailable. The closest parking is in the Prospect Hall lot. When traveling on Lower Lake Road from Morgan Street, take your first right onto Prospect Hall Road. Park in the rows marked for visitors. After parking, look for the foot bridge for the shortest walk to the Museum. To locate other parking areas, please visit our campus map.

Parking spaces for visitors with physical disabilities are available on the semi-circular driveway directly in front of the Museum’s main entrance, but during construction only ½ the driveway will be open.

BUS (PVTA)

Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA) bus lines 38, 39 and 39E will resume service to Mount Holyoke College on September 2nd. During the geothermal construction, buses will not be able to stop in front of the Art Museum. In the interim, please follow these instructions:

  • Disembark at the bus stop on Route 116 which is in front of Williston Memorial Library (40 College Street).
  • Follow the walkway between the Library and Abbey Chapel to Gateway Road and turn left. The back of the Art Building will be on your right.
  • Cross the footbridge to the back door of the building, aside of the loading dock.
  • If the door is locked, call (413) 538-2245 to reach the Museum receptionist for assistance. Upon entrance, you will be on the third floor.
  • Follow Art Museum signs to the elevator and take it down to the 1st floor.
  • The Art Museum reception desk will be directly in front of you when you exit the elevator.
  • Please see PVTA for routes and schedules and check PVTA alerts for updates.
