Yoshida family picture taken during the winter of 1949-1950 at the Yoshida studio in Tokyo. The studio also functioned as a space for social events organized by Fujio during and after World War II, when American officials and their wives were invited to view and buy woodblock prints by the family. From left to right in this photo are Tōshi’s wife Kiso and Tōshi (Hiroshi’s elder son), Fujio and Hiroshi, Hodaka (Hiroshi’s second son), and Tōshi and Kiso’s four sons: Takashi, Hitoshi, Kobun, and Akihiro.
