In celebration of Black History Month, join us for our very own student-guided black art expo! We fuse various media in the showcasing of Black artists at MHCAM to explore Black stories and history through art.

Hosted by creative writing faculty Samuel Ace and Andrea Lawlor. Co-sponsored by the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum and the MHC Department of English.

Learn about the Museum’s new acquisition Broom Jumpers (2019) before it joins a major traveling exhibition featuring Bisa Butler’s monumental, quilted portraits of African American life and cultural identity.

Mara Breen, Associate Professor of Psychology and Education, and Spencer Smith, Assistant Professor of Physics
