Visitors on this tour will uncover questions about the private versus the public self. How do we, as individuals, select and neglect parts of our identities for display? How do the private lives of famous figures compare to their public images? What are the implications of commemoration? Together we will explore the relationship of museums — as public institutions — to the intimate, personal works they exhibit.
