Passion is a word with two distinct definitions– it calls to mind both eroticism and pain, suffering and desire. The art in this tour explores not only those two themes, but also how they intersect. Are pleasure and pain intrinsically linked? Can one exist without the other? From antiquity to the present, artists have explored this question. “Passion: Suffering and Desire in Art” will call audiences to do the same, with each person bringing their own unique perspective to the question of passion.

This Sightlines Tour is best for adult learners. Free and open to the public.
