Most of us do not question the journey an artwork takes before it arrives at a museum. Yet many objects we encounter have a history of transcending borders, whether they are displayed far from their place of origin or influenced by foreign traditions. This tour will examine and analyze a wide range of works of art with a focus on how the travel of art informs our viewing.
