On this tour we will unpack how European art was influenced by art from the East, while often simultaneously casting Asia and the Middle East as an exotic “other.” We will also examine how within the Asian continent itself, countries used art to imagine their own far away neighbors, emulating and exchanging artistic styles and techniques across thousands of miles.
