This museum tour examines how musical instruments and performance are depicted within artworks. Using objects from Asia to the Mediterranean, the tour will explore the ways in which the idea of music, or sound, manifests in different cultures. Visitors will be invited to not just look closely and speculate on what they see, but also listen and imagine sounds from the past.
