Throughout history, artists have been inspired by what they see or experience at home. From decorative and functional domestic objects to visual art depicting home interiors, art based on domesticity invites us to consider certain questions. Who was present in the domestic sphere? What kinds of domestic work did they do? How did they approach their work? Through examining objects from a range of geographical locations and time periods, this tour explores domesticity across different contexts.

Sightlines Tours last about 45 minutes and are designed for adult learners, though we welcome visitors of all ages! Free and open to the public.
