Jonas’s lecture, titled “Joan Jonas ‘58: 60 Years Later,” will reflect back on her life & career as an artist best known for blending video, performance, sound, movement, drawing, and sculpture into her work. As #mountholyoke College’s 2018-2019 Leading Woman in the Arts, Jonas’s lecture is made possible by the Weissman Center for Leadership and the InterArts Council. A reception will follow to celebrate Jonas’s visit and the opening of her exhibit “Promise of the Infinite: Joan Jonas and the Mirror,” on view at the @mhcartmuseum until June 16, 2019.
