Guided Movement
Art Museum Galleries
Kara Setal ’25, Student Guide
This tour explores the theme of movement in art—the movement of bodies, of time, of materials, and nature. We will use guided meditation to approach each piece, engaging our bodies' physiological responses to understand the art and artists better. We will become artists as we paint stories in our minds and study each composition. Ranging from ancient Greek vases to contemporary art, these pieces will call upon us to view the world from a multicultural perspective and think about other people's ways of life, guiding our movement through art and time.
Sightlines Tours last about 45 minutes and are designed for adult learners, though we welcome visitors of all ages! Free and open to the public.
