El Anatsui

Inaugural Patricia and Edward Falkenberg Lecture

Please join us for an historic event featuring the artist El Anatsui in dialogue with his former colleague and fellow artist Obiora Udechukwu, Dana Professor of Art and Art History, St. Lawrence University. The conversation will be moderated by exhibition co-curator and Five College Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in African Art and Architecture, Amanda Gilvin.

The Patricia and Edward Falkenberg Lecture was established in 2014 to feature artists and art historians whose presentations relate to either the exhibition program or the permanent collection of the Museum. Patricia Falkenberg is a long serving member of the Art Museum Advisory Board and a member of the Mount Holyoke College Class of 1964.

This exhibition was made possible by the Susan B. Weatherbie Exhibition Fund. Associated programs are supported by the Patricia and Edward Falkenberg Lecture Fund and the Natalie Hofheimer Program Fund.
