2017 Patricia and Edward Falkenberg Lecture
Join us for an engaging conversation with leading contemporary artist Michelle Grabner, best known for her painted abstractions and a new body of bronze sculptures. A longtime professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Grabner is also highly influential as both curator and critic. Grabner and Paik will discuss her wide-ranging artistic practice, current trends in the contemporary art world, as well as advice for young artists.
The Patricia and Edward Falkenberg Lecture was established in 2014 to feature artists and art historians whose presentations relate to either the exhibition program or the permanent collection of the Museum. Patricia Falkenberg is a long serving member of the Art Museum Advisory Board and a member of the Mount Holyoke College Class of 1964.
