Spaces Available for Teaching in the Museum

Carson Teaching Gallery

The Carson Teaching Gallery, named for Shirley M. Carson (Class of 1934), is a classroom inside the Museum available to faculty and students for examining objects not already on view in the galleries. Your selection of up to 15 original works of art and/or material culture from the Art Museum and the Skinner Museum can be displayed temporarily here for class visits. The space is fully mediated and furnished with moveable tables and chairs. [limit 20 students]


The Museum Galleries re also available for class use. The semi-permanent installations and changing exhibitions offer exciting objects and thematic perspectives to engage your students. [with prior arrangements we can accommodate up to 35-40 students in our largest galleries]
