This tour explores the concept of gender within specific societies by examining the ways in which gender norms are represented and reflected in works of art. Looking at art from the ancient Americas to neoclassical France to imperial Rome, visitors are encouraged to think about how gender roles and cultural beliefs influence artistic expression.
