Nurture and Nature in Art
Art Museum Galleries
Laura Hinojosa ’23, Student Guide
Where do people find comfort? Maybe it is in spending time with a loved one, re-watching a nostalgic film, or being out in nature. This tour examines the relationship between nurture and nature in art. We will look at an eclectic group of objects from a range of different cultures, mediums, and time periods, all connected by the theme of care. Visitors are encouraged to explore the unique ways nurture appears both in art and in their own lives.
Sightlines Tours last about 45 minutes and are designed for adult learners, though we welcome visitors of all ages! Free and open to the public.
